AUTHOR, SPEAKER, MINISTER, RELATIONSHIP COACH....BUT MOST IMPORTANT, WIFE & MOM
Straight outta Compton. (Born and raised)
Got the degree. (USC Trojan, baby! Fight on!)
Traveled the world. (30 countries later…nicknamed Gypsy Superstar)
Met a boy in church…(Married him.)
Kept traveling. (Just me and my boo)
Identical twins. (Surprise!!)
Traveled some more. (Family of four)
The house. The car. The career. The bills. The stress. The rat race. (For what?)
All the while, feeling like the really important things were somehow getting lost in the "busy-ness" of my hectic, over-scheduled life. (But they NEED soccer, gymnastics, Spanish, play dates, yoga, Girls Scouts, volunteering, and choir..RIGHT! AGGGGGHHHHH!....I mean, no worries. I got this.)

"And at my core, just wanting to give my girls the family I never had, always wondering what it would look like to raise kids who didn't have to recover from their childhood..."
...like me, and like my husband, Kamau did. I quickly realized that the only hope for my children (and yours) is that WE get it right. So I got focused on my passion of strengthening my own marriage and helping other couples do the same. And after 9 years of working with families and couples Mocha Marriage was born.

BIO
Jasmine Taylor, M.Coun., was born with a heart to help others, so it's no surprise that the Founder & CEO of Mocha Marriage actually ran her first nonprofit at the age of 16. She was hand-selected by the Mayor of Compton to be the President of the RebuildLA Youth Task Force after the riots in 1992 and has been a public servant ever since. She went on to earn a B.S. in Nonprofit Management from USC, her Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and is the recipient of countless awards and fellowships. She is a Reinhard Mohn Fellow, a National Urban Fellow, a speaker, trainer, certified parenting and relationship coach, author, ordained minister and Travelnista, who has traveled to over 30 countries. She is living proof that your zip code doesn't have to determine your destiny!
Jasmine is an advocate for marriage and family and has always been an influencer for causes she believes in. While she's very proud of her Compton roots, she was recently inducted into Who's Who In Black Dallas, where she currently resides with her husband and fellow relationship educator and entrepreneur, Kamau, and their identical twin girls. Jasmine's relationship segments have been featured on the K104 DeDe in the Morning Show, the nationally syndicated Doug Banks radio and on Mocha Marriage Radio on the Power Play Radio Network. She has led countless retreats and worked with hundreds of couples. She speaks at churches, retreats, workshops and conference before audiences as large as 5,000 guests. But no matter the crowd size, Jasmine is a connector. Her transparency and genuine spirit are endearing and captivating. Her heart and her smile enable her to reach the hearts of her audiences and her passion for empowering couples helps elevate their lives and relationships by teaching them to turn pain into purpose.

Our Vision
We believe in the institution of marriage and that the richness a husband and wife build together exceeds that which they could accomplish alone. Therefore, our vision is that we inspire a cultural shift from generational toxicity to healthy relationships - so we can raise children who don't have to recover from their childhood.
